Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Roman Rahimi is a facial plastic surgeon

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Roman Rahimi is a facial plastic surgeon. As a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery with the additional designation "plastic surgery" and the activity focus "aesthetic facial surgery", he already has over 10 years of experience in surgical facial surgery.

He began his career at the University Medical Centre Mainz, where he is still a senior physician and head of the section for aesthetic facial surgery. In addition to his clinical work, he is always researching new techniques and methods, which he has already published in numerous international publications. To this end, he has been able to make a name for himself in the field of reconstructive facial surgery as a Germany-wide key opinion leader.

His commitment in the field of facial plastic surgery was recognised in 2022 by the University of Mainz with the award of the venia legendi for his post-doctoral thesis "New methods in the plastic-reconstructive surgery of facial skin tumours". Today, as a private lecturer at both the University of Mainz and the University of Frankfurt, he pursues his teaching assignment, in particular to impart knowledge in facial aesthetics, aesthetic facial surgery and plastic-reconstructive surgery.

His specialisations include facial tightening surgery. In addition to state-of-the-art upper and lower eyelid surgery, he specialises in facelifts. In the course of numerous stays in Germany and abroad, he has developed his own technique of deep plane SMAS lifting in recent years, with which he achieves a particularly natural and long-term facial rejuvenation in combination with other procedures such as neck and forehead/eyebrow lifts as well as modelling of fatty tissue.

Together with his patients, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Rahimi always selects the best individual therapy from his broad portfolio, as he can cover the entire range of surgical and non-surgical facial aesthetics.
