Dr. Gerhard Sattler

Dr. Gerhard Sattler founded the Rosenpark Clinic, together with his wife Dr. Sonja Sattler, in 1996.

After studying human medicine in Frankfurt am Main and gaining his licence to practise medicine in 1983, he specialised in the area of dermatology and qualified as a specialist in 1988.  From the mid 80s onwards, Gerhard Sattler was one of the first to see things from an aesthetic point of view and has, since then, combined his hobby and professional mission in life. He has expressed this by expanding his specialised knowledge, and in his particular key areas, which today are: operative dermatology, vein surgery, liposuction, treatment under tumescent local anaesthetic, botulinum toxin treatment and wrinkle treatment.

His personal commitment is the essential driving force for the establishment of new methods in the area of aesthetic treatments, such as, for instance, liposuction on conscious patients under tumescent local anaesthetic or endogenous fat transfer treatment, to name but a few examples. This is reflected, in particular, in the publication of numerous books and scientific papers, which have given him a national, as well as an international, reputation.

Along with his enthusiastic commitment to his patients, he is in great demand as a speaker and surgeon at national and international conferences. Furthermore, he is a member of numerous medical professional associations: founder member of the DGDC (German Society for Dermatosurgery); president of the ISDS (International Society of Dermatologic Surgery); and board member and treasurer of the GÄCD (Society for Aesthetic Surgery in Germany).

He shares his experience with numerous specialists on every continent, who exchange ideas at a Live Symposium, set up by Gerhard Sattler, every two years in the Rosenpark Clinic in Darmstadt.
