The Renuvion® procedure combines the unique properties of helium plasma with the efficiency of highly focused energy. The resulting dual thermal effect gently tightens the tissue.
The risk of side effects during treatment with Renuvion® is very low compared to other procedures such as laser or radiofrequency, as the plasma technology allows the connective tissue to be heated with pinpoint accuracy and immediately cools back down to skin temperature.
Treatment with Renuvion® can be performed either directly after liposuction or without prior liposuction. Directly after liposuction, the 4 mm thin small handpiece is inserted into the same incisions as the vibrating cannula beforehand during liposuction. There is therefore no additional incision. The helium plasma jet penetrates the entire tissue, tightens the tissue layer directly under the skin and stimulates the formation of new collagen there.
The treatment time varies between 20 and 45 minutes depending on the treatment area.
A significant improvement and smoothing of the skin can be noticed as early as six weeks after the treatment. The final result is visible after six months.
The area to be treated is locally anaesthetised using tumescent local anaesthesia. Due to the use of this special anaesthetic fluid, no pain is expected during the treatment. A moderate soreness, similar to a sore muscle, is possible the days after the treatment.
After treatment with Renuvion®, you are immediately ready for action again without significant downtime. If the treatment with Renuvion® is performed after liposuction, the downtime is comparable to that of liposuction. As a rule, one can return to normal everyday life after three to four days. There are no physical restrictions, only the wearing of a bodice for about two to four weeks is essential.
