Abdominal Tightening – New Momentum for Your Midsection

Abdominal tightening at Rosenpark Clinic can even eliminate some pregnancy stretch marks and eventually appendectomy scars. New techniques are enabling very esthetic results and hide surgical scars under the bikini or bathing suit.
New surgical techniques for abdominal tightening for esthetic results and hidden scars

Abdominal tightening/abdominoplasty reduces the abdomen’s sagging soft skin tissues and gives your midsection new momentum. Even pregnancy stretch marks and appendectomy scars might disappear.

Nowadays, new surgical techniques render very esthetic results possible. The expert team of aesthetic plastic surgeons at Rosenpark Clinic gives you competent advice and shows you the best way to regain a nice body contour and achieve new body awareness.

By the way: Often, liposuction is entirely sufficient for abdominal tightening. Trust our experts’ experience.

How does the procedure go?

The abdominal tightening incision is made from one hip bone to the other, in the region of the groin and pubic mound. Due to this, the surgical scar will be covered by the bikini or bathing suit. The incision also cuts around the belly button. The skin is loosened up to the costal arch and is stretched downward and excised – the belly button is placed in its new position through a hole in the skin.

What sort of anesthesia is necessary?

Abdominal tightening is done under general anesthesia. For more information about your options for a comfortable, pain-free treatment see the anesthesia section.

When will I be able to resume my regular activities?

We like to keep you at the clinic for up to two days after the surgery. You should take it easy for one to two weeks after the procedure – especially in order to prevent excessive stress on the sutures caused by friction or tension. After one to two weeks you will be able to resume your work and social obligations.

Expert tip

Dr. Stefan Kalthoff: “The success of the abdominal tightening depends on your behavior after the surgery. In order to take care of the scars and prevent them from stretching, you should avoid physical activity for the first six weeks and not engage in major exertion.”

What else you can do

  • During the first six weeks after the surgery you should wear a special compression garment.
  • After completion of the exterior healing you can gradually resume light exercise after six weeks.
  • You should wait at least three months to resume any muscle training.
  • The abdominoplasty can be combined with liposuction.
