The Buttock Lift – A Tight Back View Without Visible Scars

Sagging skin can look bad in fashionable clothing and be bothersome when sitting and impact well-being. The expert team of aesthetic plastic surgeons at Rosenpark Clinic will help you obtain taut buttocks – and get a new attitude towards life – with a buttock lift.

A lifting operation can bring your buttocks back into shape even if the upper back of your leg was overly liposuctioned during a thigh liposuction procedure at a different clinic.

How does the procedure go?

The incision is made in the gluteal crease so that the scar can disappear into this later on or be covered by the bikini or bathing suit. The excess skin-fat area is dissected and separated over the muscle and stretched. The surgeon uses good visual judgment in order not to remove too much or too little excess skin before suturing it.

What sort of anesthesia is necessary?

The buttock lift is done under twilight sleep or under general anesthesiaFor more information about your options for a comfortable, pain-free treatment see the <link en rosenpark-klinik behandlungsspektrum anesthesia internal-link internen link im aktuellen>anesthesia section.

When will I be able to resume my regular activities?

We like to keep you at the clinic for 24 hours after the surgery. After about one week you will be able to resume your work and social obligations. We recommend to wear a bodice for four weeks.

You can find more information in our "Body shaping" information sheets, which you can request from us free of charge.

Expert tip

Dr. Gerhard Sattler: “The beautiful result of the buttock lift can be enhanced with an additional volume increase.“

What else you can do

  • Often the buttock lift is also combined with an inner leg lift.
  • The success of the buttock lift depends on your behaviour after the operation. To protect the scars and prevent them from stretching, you should avoid physical exertion and refrain from major exertion for the first six weeks.
  • After the end of the external healing, you can gradually start doing sports and gymnastics after six weeks. You should resume your muscle training after three months at the earliest.
