Taut Thighs Without Visible Scars – The Inner Thigh Lift

How does the procedure go?

The inner thigh lift incision is made from the groin to the start of the buttock crease. The scar can then disappear into this later on or be hidden by the bikini or bathing suit.

The sagging skin area on the inner thigh is dissected and separated over the muscle and stretched upwards. The surgeon needs good visual judgment in order not to remove too much or too little excess skin. For long-term stability, the surgeon sutures the deep dermal layer with the periosteum of the pubic bone. The upper dermal layers are sutured over this – using a special technique the scar will be barely visible later on.

At Rosenpark Klinik the thigh lift is usually performed in combination with preceding liposuction – although on two consecutive days.

What sort of anesthesia is necessary?

When will I be able to resume my regular activities?

If the inner thigh lift is done in combination with liposuction, we will keep you at the clinic for at least two nights. After an inner thigh lift without liposuction, you can leave the clinic the next day. You should take it easy for one to two weeks after the procedure – especially in order to prevent excessive stress on the sutures caused by friction or tension. After one to two weeks you will be able to resume your work and social obligations. However, in order not to compromise the scar, you should not exercise for at least six weeks.

What else you can do

  • After the procedure we recommend a special skin care program.
  • During the first four weeks after the surgery you should wear special compression trousers.
  • We also recommend lymph drainage after the liposuction in order to flush out swelling. We offer this procedure at our Rosenpark Studio.
  • The success of the inner thigh lift depends on your behavior after the surgery. In order to take care of the scars and prevent them from stretching, you should avoid physical activity for the first six weeks and not engage in major exertion.
  • After completion of the exterior healing after about six weeks you can gradually resume light exercise. You should wait at least three months to resume any muscle training.
